Treat yourself, your family and friends to a day of Fiber Fun.  Our quality vendors will be returning to fill your fiber stash wishes.  We will have sheep shearing demonstrations, fiber related classes and short make and take activities.  We are planning 6-8 fiber classes per day with opportunities to try felting, fabric dyeing, knitting, crocheting and broom making. Shop for Mothers' Day or give the mother in your life the gift of a day out and a new skill to learn.

FIBER ARTS CLASS 

In these 2-3 hour classes, experienced instructors will teach the basic skills required for learning a new craft. A variety of experiences are offered to begin your learning journey in knitting, crocheting, dyeing, felting (needle & wet), broom and basket making, and spinning wool with a drop spindle. You will also have an opportunity to learn basic spinning wheel care and maintenance from a spinning wheel expert. Learn more at the link below:

Please note: The Fiber Arts Fiesta takes place outdoors. Most of the booths will be set up on a lawn that is uneven in places. We suggest you wear shoes suitable for walking and perhaps plan to wear a hat.

 

AGSEM will be open all weekend, so you can see examples of mechanical ingenuity and crafts associated with the early days of the American farm and rural community; the Blacksmith & Wheelwright Shop, Short Track Railroad exhibit, and the Clock & Watch Museum will be open.
